Radar Detection System
DVS 2024 Radar Moving-Off and Blind-Spot Detection System
MotorMatics' DVS 2024 Radar Detection System includes Move-Off Information System (MOIS) and Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) that protect road users from collisions with HGVs, by using advanced radar technology.
The radar detection system addresses the new DVS 2 requirements from TFL. It is ideal for complying with DVS Progressive Safe System (PSS) requirements, improving safety for drivers and vulnerable road users (VRUs).
Eliminate all
vehicle blind spots
Comply with
Direct Vision Standard (DVS) 2024 update
Achieve
Progressive Safe System (PSS) requirements
Reduce collisions
and improve road safety
Perfect safe system upgrade to comply with PSS requirements
As part of the 2024 DVS safety scheme, this advanced radar detection system predict collisions by analysing vehicles' and road users' speed and direction. Using 77Ghz sensor technology, the system detects pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcycles in blind spot zones, alerting the driver if an impact is likely.
Elliminates blind-spots
Meets all Progressive DVS Safe System Requirements and UNECE R151 (BSIS) & 159 (MOIS)
Wide detection angle
180° VRUs detection angle also alerts drivers visually and audibly
Long range detection
Detects the pedestrians more than 45 meters in the open area
Eliminates false alarms
Predicts a collision and alerts the driver only when danger is likely

DVS Radar Detection System. Why install it?
Whether it's an HGV or a bus, commercial vehicles have blind spots making nearby vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists entirely invisible to the driver. As a result, serious road accidents and collisions are more likely to occur.

Transport for London is updating the Direct Vision Standard (DVS) scheme with Progressive Safe System requirements to continue to reduce road danger and improve road safety further. To operate in London, all vehicles with 0-2 stars must eliminate all remaining blind spots by October 2024.

Radar technology like MotorMatics' DVS 2024 Radar Detection System significantly widens drivers' field of vision, minimizing hazard and collision risks. By using artificial intelligence, radar accurately detect pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles around the vehicle providing real-time visual and audio alerts to keep drivers and roads safe.
